At the end of every term Coole Music organises a series of student concerts where every student taking classes with Coole Music gets the chance to perform in a public yet informal way. By having the concerts twice a year, the students get used to the stage and performance situation.
The concert also provides a huge learning opportunity as students get to hear other musicians who both more and less accomplished than themselves. Over the years many people have commented on the confidence members of Coole Music show when performing at different community events and we believe that this regular performance practice is a contributory factor to that!

Another benefit of the student concerts is that parents and friends can see and hear the results of the music classes. Attending a student concert also gives new families the chance to experience different musical instruments when deciding on what instrument would best suit their child.
All string players perform both as soloists (or duos - depending on shared or individual classes) and as groups. There are five different string Ensembles of 12-20 students in place who meet three times per term for 60 or 80min to practice ensemble playing, music theory, improvisation and technique. These Ensembles always form the finale for the concerts in the string series.

Concerts are always free, and everyone is welcome to come along!
